Chris Olave Extends Contract with New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement with wide receiver Chris Olave on a four-year contract extension. The extension is valued at up to $132 million, with $90 million guaranteed.

Head coach Kellen Moore shared his enthusiasm for the signing in a press conference. Moore stated, “It’s awesome for our team, it’s awesome for Chris.” He highlighted the challenges Olave has faced during his career, as well as his achievements. Moore continued, “At the end of the day, when everyone is shooting for the same goal, it’s a matter of time before it gets figured out. Sometimes the business part takes a little precedence, which is fine. And I think everyone’s really excited for where this thing’s going.”

Just awesome for what he’s gone through in his career, the success he’s had, also the things he’s had to navigate.

Olave’s career saw a significant turnaround after he missed much of the 2024 season due to concussion issues. In the 2025 season, he made a strong comeback with career highs of 100 catches, 1,163 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns.

The Saints will begin their 2026 regular-season schedule against the Detroit Lions on September 13.
