Country music artist Jason Deford, known by his stage name Jelly Roll, has initiated divorce proceedings from his wife, Alisa Deford, also known as Bunnie XO. This development is confirmed by court documents filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18.
The couple, who have been married for nearly a decade, have no children together. The reasons for the divorce filing have not been publicly disclosed.
Jelly Roll shared a moment with Bunnie XO at an event in Las Vegas on February 26, as captured in a file photo by Taylor Hill from Getty Images. NBC News has inquired with the legal representatives for both parties for additional insights.
The divorce filing occurred shortly before Jelly Roll embarked on his “Little Ass Shed Tour,” which commenced on May 28 and is expected to continue until July 22.
In January, Jelly Roll expressed his affection and appreciation for his wife on Instagram, reminiscing about their decade-long relationship. He posted, “2016 was a dream. And we’re still living it. 10 years with my beautiful wife, the one and only Mrs. Bunnie XO,” alongside a photo of the couple together.
As of six weeks ago, social media posts depicted the couple appearing together. Jelly Roll’s Instagram profile still features Bunnie XO’s handle, indicating continued connection. In conversation with People magazine in February, Jelly Roll discussed their enduring love despite challenges, stating, “Love, man. Love will always do it.”
