Arrest and Investigation

Alexis Antonio Cedillos-Campos, an illegal migrant, has been apprehended for the fatal stabbing of Carmen Lizet Puch on a hiking trail in Great Falls, Virginia. Charles Marino, a former Secret Service agent, discussed the suspect’s previous release by the Biden administration on ‘Fox & Friends First,’ highlighting the need for accountability.

Attempted Murder of NYPD Officer

Two suspects, Dangelo Rafael Jean Caraballo and Sneider Mejia Bautista, both Dominican citizens, are wanted for the attempted murder of an off-duty New York City police officer. Federal officials report that both individuals have extensive criminal records and are in the U.S. illegally.

Detective Jose Mercedes, the officer in question, was attacked when the suspects attempted to rob him of his gold chain. Despite being stabbed multiple times, Mercedes pursued them for two blocks before collapsing from his injuries. He was later treated at a hospital and has since been released.

“This horrific crime could have been prevented,” stated Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, blaming the open borders policies and sanctuary city policies of New York.

Suspects’ Criminal Backgrounds

Dangelo Rafael Jean Caraballo entered the United States unlawfully through the Arizona border and has faced charges including reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon. Despite his criminal history, he was released before immigration authorities could intervene.

Sneider Mejia Bautista also entered the U.S. through the Arizona border. His criminal record includes possession of stolen property and grand larceny. Though ICE lodged a detainer following an arrest in 2025, New York City’s sanctuary policies prevented his detention.

Both suspects remain at large. The Department of Homeland Security has urged New York authorities to cooperate in apprehending these individuals.
