The 2026 NFL season is approaching, and the league has released its annual NFL Top 100 rankings. On Thursday, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams was named the 53rd best player in the league according to active players.

Adams is entering his 12th season in the NFL and his first with the Rams. At 33, he was the top red-zone target for NFL MVP Matthew Stafford during the previous season, leading the league with 14 receiving touchdowns in 2025. Adams achieved a significant career milestone as one of only 18 players in NFL history to reach 1,000 career receptions.

Adams’ teammate, receiver Puka Nacua, praised him during an interview related to the NFL Top 100. Nacua described Adams’ powerful presence on the field. “There are times when he’s running routes, and you feel the ground shake. It’s like, ‘Holy cow.’ He’s putting so much force into it,” Nacua stated. “Opponents try to cover me, and they also have to deal with Davante Adams. When we’re inside the 25-yard line, he’s always looking for a touchdown.”

While Adams led the league in receiving touchdowns, Nacua led the league in receptions with 129. He also recorded a career-high of 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns in his third season with the Rams.

The Rams are gearing up for their 2026 season opener against the San Francisco 49ers on September 10, during a “Thursday Night Football” matchup.
