Firefighters Respond to Seattle Warehouse Fire

Firefighters in Seattle responded to a significant 3-alarm fire at a commercial warehouse in the city’s Industrial District. This incident occurred early Wednesday morning, following another fire the previous day in the Central District.

The fire began just before 1 a.m. on the 4500 block of 7th Avenue S. It involved two tractor trailers that caught fire and spread to the warehouse. Seattle Fire spokesperson David Cuerpo provided details at a press conference near the site.

Officials discovered numerous large metal and plastic barrels both inside one of the trailers and surrounding the building. This required them to tackle the fire from a safe distance. Upon further investigation, Cuerpo confirmed that these barrels were empty.

The Seattle Fire Department received several 911 calls in the early hours of Wednesday, July 15, 2026, reporting a warehouse fire. Firefighters reported a partial collapse of the warehouse roof at 1:15 a.m., which restricted personnel from entering the remaining structure. The crews successfully extinguished the fire by around 3:22 a.m., without any reported injuries. An investigation is ongoing, according to a statement by Cuerpo to Fox News Digital.

This fire followed another incident in a nearby commercial building on Tuesday morning. Approximately 20 minutes away, at the 2700 block of E Madison St. in the Central District, a fire broke out around 3:22 a.m. Crews managed to extinguish this fire by 5:30 a.m.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from these incidents. Cuerpo confirmed that the cause of the earlier fire was accidental during the same Wednesday morning press conference.
