Government Awards No-Bid Contracts to Greenwater Services

3 weeks ago 0

Greenwater Services has been awarded two no-bid contracts by the government since the return of President Trump to office. These contracts have raised concerns due to the company’s ownership by a donor to the president.

The first contract provided to Greenwater Services was to address issues in the Tijuana River, which has been notably affected by trash. On April 8, a trash boom was installed as part of these efforts to capture debris, highlighting the environmental challenges in the region.

A year later, Greenwater Services secured another contract valued at $1.7 million. This project involved cleaning the algae-infested Reflecting Pool.

No-bid contracts, such as those received by Greenwater Services, often spark discussions about transparency and fairness in government procurement processes. The relationship between donors and government contract allocations is frequently scrutinized, emphasizing the need for oversight and accountability.
