53 minutes ago 0

The U.S. Marshals Service has successfully concluded a significant operation dubbed Operation Meridian, recovering dozens of missing and endangered children in Ohio. This operation is considered the largest of its kind in the state. Throughout August, in collaboration with various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, 79 children, ranging from ages 6 to 17, were located and brought to safety, according to a recent news release.

The focus of this operation was on children who had been reported missing under circumstances like suspected sex trafficking, as well as physical and emotional abuse, neglect, and other forms of endangerment. Investigators worked diligently alongside local police, state agencies, and federal partners to find children, even extending efforts to as far away as Georgia.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott expressed pride in the collective efforts, stating, “I am very proud of our dedicated law enforcement, community, and media partners who worked tirelessly to bring our missing and most vulnerable children to safety. Every recovered child represents a life pulled back from danger.”

This story is still developing, with more updates expected as further details emerge.
