Police have identified a 22-year-old suspect believed to be responsible for terrorizing women in Philadelphia. Authorities are urging the public to be vigilant, as the suspect may have fled Pennsylvania.
The suspect, Zymire Hughes, has an active arrest warrant. He allegedly wore a Chucky-style Halloween mask while assaulting a woman last Wednesday. Reports suggest he pursued her aggressively.
Incident Details
Hughes reportedly shouted threatening remarks, asking a woman if she was “ready to die” while chasing others. Surveillance footage appears to show Hughes approaching individuals in the city. He was denied service at a Dunkin’ Donuts due to the mask.
Philadelphia Police released images showing the suspect with the doll-like mask, allegedly chasing a victim near City Hall.
Confrontation with Combat-Trained Woman
After several incidents, Hughes allegedly encountered Jameka Wilson, a woman trained in combat. When he threatened her, she defended herself by kicking him hard in the chest, causing him to flee.
Suspect’s Description
Police indicate Hughes may have ties to California and Nevada. He is described as a Black male with medium complexion, 5-foot-8, slim build. During the incidents, he wore a white Chucky-style mask, black hair, and carried a black/blue plaid backpack.
