When questioned about his political stance, York distanced himself from being labeled as far-left. In a 2017 interview, amid national anthem protests by NFL players, York emphasized his belief in ‘common sense issues’. He highlighted the importance of empathy and understanding others’ perspectives.

Among York’s largest political donations, a notable $5,000 contribution went to America 2.0 PAC, linked to former Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio. Follow-up donations to Ryan accumulated to $19,400. York has not publicly addressed questions regarding the DCCC donation or his broader political contributions.
