Taylor Swift found happiness with NFL star Travis Kelce, marrying him on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. The wedding hosted around 1,000 guests after the couple rented the venue for several days. Swift and Kelce’s relationship started in the summer of 2023.
Swift and Kelce publicly announced their engagement in August 2025. Adam Sandler officiated their wedding ceremony, as reported by People magazine. Sandler, who bonded with Kelce during Kelce’s appearance in ‘Happy Gilmore 2′ and on the Kelce brothers’ podcast ‘New Heights,’ expressed his admiration for Kelce’s talents.
The couple chose not to have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her ‘Man of Honor,’ while Kelce’s brother, Jason, was the ‘Best Man.’
Both bride and groom wore outfits designed by Christian Dior Haute Couture, created by Jonathan Anderson. The designer collaborated closely with Swift and Kelce. Their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and Swift adorned Cartier jewelry.
Swift, often private about her relationships, disclosed in a ‘Time’ magazine interview that they began dating before she appeared at a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023. She shared that Kelce gained her attention on his podcast, leading to their first meeting.
In an earlier podcast in July 2023, Kelce humorously mentioned he wanted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour in Kansas City. The couple later appeared on his podcast, ‘New Heights,’ on August 13, 2025, where Swift joked about Kelce using the podcast to connect with her.
Kelce mentioned that Swift’s music guided him in winning her heart, calling himself the ‘luckiest man in the world.’ Shortly after Swift’s podcast appearance, they revealed their engagement on Instagram with Swift playfully captioning, ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’
