Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) unveiled the Knockouts Television Championship at Slammiversary in Boston. TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks appeared after Elayna Black’s victory over Indi Hartwell and Mara Sadè in the pre-show.
Brooks emphasized the impact of the TNA Knockouts over the years. “The TNA Knockouts changed the landscape of pro wrestling,” she stated. The introduction of the new championship aligns with their history of breaking barriers and creating opportunities.
A 16-woman tournament is set to begin on Thursday night. This tournament will conclude with the crowning of the first-ever TNA Knockout Television Champion. The title belt showcases “KO” and “TV” in purple and black.
The participants for the tournament remain unannounced. Black, Hartwell, and Sadè might compete, starting on “Impact.” “This championship will be defended exclusively on ‘Impact’ television,” Brooks added, urging the knockouts to seize the chance to prove themselves as the best women’s division in professional wrestling.
Currently, TNA features six active titles. The Knockouts TV Championship will become the seventh.
