Tragic Shooting at Twin Falls In-N-Out: Details Emerge

In Twin Falls, Idaho, a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant left three people dead, including an employee. The fast-food chain’s owner, Lynsi Snyder, expressed deep sorrow in a statement on social media. She referred to the employee as one of their ‘beautiful Associates’ and extended support to the families affected.

The FBI has encouraged the public to share any images or videos related to the shooting that occurred on Saturday, which resulted in seven other injuries, some of which are critical. The In-N-Out location had just opened on July 24 as part of the company’s expansion into Idaho. Officials are in the process of contacting the victims’ families.

Authorities have not released the identities or details regarding the victims due to notification procedures. Twin Falls spokesperson Josh Palmer confirmed the detection of the suspected gunman’s body near the restaurant but was unsure if the suspect was included in the death count. Some injured remain in critical condition.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks reported that the suspect’s identity and motive remain unknown, though the threat is considered over. He described the scene as chaotic, with further police updates scheduled for Sunday. Investigations involve witness interviews conducted by the authorities.

Eyewitness Lane Koehn recounted seeing a person with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru. A man with a pistol returned fire. Koehn described a scene where an injured In-N-Out employee was dragged to safety, expressing concern for her survival. Police advised him to evacuate due to the ongoing shooting.

Video footage from a driver showed a shooter in black clothing with a long rifle, interacting with a vehicle before the driver hastily departed in fear. Another witness, Haley Dodaro, initially thought there was a fire but upon being informed of a shooter, witnessed a chaotic scene filled with crying and screaming individuals.

Nayeli Rodriguez, who was with her daughters inside the establishment, recounted the shots fired from the kitchen area. An older man attempted to shield them, and they eventually fled with assistance from passersby. Due to the hurried evacuation, Rodriguez left her car in the parking lot.

Several victims received medical treatment at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center. The hospital is collaborating with local law enforcement and emergency services to address the unfolding situation.

Twin Falls, hosting a population of approximately 56,000, is situated about 130 miles southeast of Boise, and 75 miles north of the Nevada border.
