Trump Shares Controversial Videos of Big Cat Attacks

58 minutes ago 0

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump shared two videos on Truth Social that quickly gained attention. The videos showed big cats mauling people. The first video appeared to be related to a recent deadly tiger attack in northern England. A man named William Chapman was attacked by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The 41-second video showed the animal attacking Chapman inside the enclosure but did not show the moment of his death.

Trump captioned the first video with, “Don’t ever mess with nature! President DJT.” Later, he shared another video, lasting 24 seconds, featuring a compilation of big cats attacking people set to music. This second post did not include a caption. The authenticity of all the footage was unclear, with some possibly being AI-generated.

The posts also appeared on the White House’s Rapid Response X account. When Newsweek sought comments via email, the White House referred them to Trump’s Truth Social posts. Trump has previously attracted attention for sharing unusual and AI-generated content on social media. His past posts have included AI-generated visions of Gaza transformed into a luxury resort and himself as “King Trump”.

Tuesday’s posts sparked confusion and criticism across social media. Ron Filipkowski, a former federal prosecutor and Trump critic, expressed confusion on X. Vanity Fair correspondent Aiden McLaughlin and lawyer Aaron Parnas also criticized the unusual nature of the videos.

Not all reactions were negative. Some supporters interpreted the posts as warnings about the dangers of interacting with nature. Ryan Fournier, founder of Students for Trump, commented on X that the videos deliver a clear message: “Respect the wild or pay the price.”

As this is a developing story, updates will follow.
