On Monday evening, Disneyland security alerted the Anaheim Police Department about two suspicious bags left near the park’s main entrance. One of these bags contained marbles and wires, while the other had duct tape and sharp objects protruding from it. The discovery led to a swift response from authorities.
Sergeant Eric Anderson reported that they received the alert around 9:50 p.m. The bags were positioned near a roundabout, with one placed on a dolly. To ensure visitor safety, officers evacuated guests and guided them to an alternative exit.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad was called in to assess the situation. Shortly before midnight, the bomb squad confirmed that the bags were not hazardous and contained no explosives. Sergeant Anderson suggested the bags might have been purposely left to incite alarm and stated that the police are investigating those responsible.
