Wyoming Mother of Two Reported Missing

1 hour ago 0

Kandice Gunter, a 30-year-old mother from Wyoming, has been missing for several days after failing to pick up her children from their after-school program. Her disappearance has sparked concern and led her sister to alert authorities.

Gunter’s last known presence was on the morning of October 29, 2026, in Natrona County. The Casper Police Department confirmed her sister, Kayla Gunter, reported her missing. Kayla noted that it was unusual for Kandice not to pick up her children, aged 9 and 6, from the Boys & Girls Club.

“It’s totally out of character for her not to show up to get her kids,” Kayla stated.

Police reported that Gunter was last seen driving a gray 2016 GMC Canyon pickup with Wyoming temporary registration. Her cell phone was last tracked along Highway 387 near the Natrona County line around 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

The sisters had their final conversation by phone at 10:41 a.m. on Wednesday, with no sign of issues. Kandice moved from Nevada to Casper recently to be close to her children and had been living with their father for support.

Her disappearance is concerning, especially since she had moved to be near her children. A Facebook user expressed distress over her absence, mentioning their long-standing friendship.

Gunter posted on social media before her disappearance, speaking about silent success and personal improvement. Kayla noted that the move seemed successful and Kandice hadn’t shown any intention to leave or end communication.

Law enforcement is actively seeking information. Gunter, described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes, has a butterfly tattoo on her neck.

If you have seen Kandice Gunter or the pickup, or possess information regarding her location, contact the Casper Police Department at 307-235-8278. Crime Stoppers of Central Wyoming also accepts anonymous tips at 307-577-8477 or through their website at crimestopperscasper.org.
