Former reality television star Spencer Pratt has made a rare social media appearance after losing the Los Angeles mayoral race. Earlier this week, Pratt shared a photo of a duck in water at sunset on the platform X. This marked his first public post following the final vote count confirming his loss. The post included no caption or explanation.

The Associated Press announced Nithya Raman as the winner at 7:55 p.m. ET on Monday. She will join incumbent Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, a Democrat, in the November runoff. Bass secured 34.3 percent of the votes, while Raman received 29 percent. Pratt followed with 25.5 percent with 98 percent of votes counted as of 8:54 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Pratt’s post-election photo on X had over 335,000 views and more than 1,000 replies as of 9:42 p.m. ET. According to Newsweek, this appears to be his first permanent social media post since the race was called for Raman.
