Frankie Muniz Reflects on Hitting ‘Rock Bottom’ Amid Divorce

Frankie Muniz shared his recent struggle, describing the last six weeks as emotionally challenging. He expressed these feelings in a heartfelt Instagram post, stating, “The last six weeks of my life have been a nightmare I’m praying to wake up from. Everything felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time.” Muniz hopes for brighter times ahead, adding, “I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone.”

Muniz further explained how this difficult period has forced him to face certain truths about himself. “The unexpected gift in the middle of it is that I’ve had nowhere to hide.” This time has led him to perform real self-reflection, recognizing areas that need improvement to become his true self. “Not the polished version I show the world…the actual one,” he admitted.

Amid his ongoing divorce, Muniz acknowledges hitting “rock bottom” can lead to significant change. “It forces the changes you needed to make all along so you can live the best life possible,” he noted, believing that in five years, he will appreciate this low point for the growth it brought.

He emphasizes that this moment is not an endpoint. “It’s the part where I start doing the work…the uncomfortable, unglamorous, necessary work,” choosing to treat this time as foundational for future progress. Muniz encourages others in a similar low state by saying, “You’re being rebuilt. Let’s keep going!”

Following Muniz’s candid post, Paige Price, his estranged wife, shared thoughts on perspective via Instagram, suggesting different views can greatly affect one’s perception. Price also shared insights from podcaster Jay Shetty and divorce lawyer James Sexton, highlighting the importance of doing what is hard yet right.

The former couple’s relationship status shifted as they publicly announced their separation in July after ten years together. “After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents,” Muniz previously mentioned. Despite ending their romantic relationship, Muniz expressed gratitude to Price for her support throughout their marriage, maintaining a respectful friendship for their son, Mauz, whom they continue to co-parent.

Muniz also shared a family outing photo with Price and their son, celebrating his soccer achievements with a medal for sportsmanship, indicating that their relationship remains amicable.
