Charli XCX, nearly a year after completing her ‘Brat Tour,’ is set to return with her latest tour titled ‘Music, Fashion, Film.’ This summer tour features the rising hyperpop artist Underscores. The tour supports her seventh album, which shares the same name, and will be released on July 24.
The tour’s kickoff is scheduled for September 11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, concluding on October 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Charli XCX will perform at 12 shows across the United States, with double performances at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. The tour will also stop in cities like Boston, Washington, Atlanta, San Diego, and Glendale. Toronto is the only Canadian city included in the North American tour.
On Instagram, Charli XCX shared her excitement about the upcoming tour, stating, ‘soooo excited to announce the Music, Fashion, Film Tour ! sign up for presale access now through june 10th at 11pm ET at charlixcx.com/tour. can’t wait to party together again, it’s gonna be cute xx.’ She also mentioned future UK dates in an Instagram Story.
The tour announcement sparked mixed reactions among fans. While some were thrilled, others expressed disappointment over the limited number of dates and locations, particularly noting the absence of Midwest stops. One fan commented, ‘Why call it a North American tour if only 1 date is outside of the US?’ Another said, ‘just call it USA tour with only one Canada date.’
Despite some criticism, many fans praised the tour’s concept. One admired the ‘vintage newsprint aesthetic’ and anticipated a ‘visual masterpiece.’ Another fan noted, ‘music fashion film sounds like a rejection of traditional touring and more like an immersive experience concept rather than concerts.’
