Christian Pulisic demonstrated his skill and passion when he scored a memorable goal during the U.S. men’s national team (USMNT) friendly match against Senegal in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium. The match highlighted Pulisic’s importance to the team, as he celebrated by sprinting to the corner flag and expressing his emotions with a powerful scream.

Pulisic, often dubbed “Captain America” for his contributions to the USMNT, scored his first goal of 2026. This goal came not only during his time with AC Milan but also marked his first with the U.S. team since 2024 when he scored against Jamaica in the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal.

Pulisic explained to Fox News Digital that the goal felt surreal due to the support and excitement from fans, and his return to playing in the U.S. was laden with significance. He highlighted the partnership with Hershey’s, a brand he grew up with in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

“Honestly, yeah, scoring after a while… Just being in the U.S. and knowing that we have this moment in front of us… such a crazy opportunity,” Pulisic shared.

Despite the match being a friendly, the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm. Pulisic noted the strong support from fans and emphasized how much their energy propels the team’s performance.

Playing on home soil for the World Cup brings heightened pressure for the players. Pulisic embraced this challenge, acknowledging the stakes but remaining grateful for the opportunity.

“Everyone has pressure. It’s in the World Cup… Absolutely am grateful to have this opportunity,” Pulisic remarked.

The team’s progress and chemistry were evident during the friendly, serving as preparation for critical matches ahead, including their June 12 clash against Paraguay.

Beyond soccer, Pulisic’s ties to Hershey resonate profoundly. His collaboration involves launching limited-edition chocolate bars featuring his signature, celebrating his roots in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

For those lucky enough to visit Hershey’s Chocolate World or Times Square, there will be opportunities to collect these special chocolate bars, with an initial giveaway beginning June 6.

Christian Pulisic continues to be a source of pride and inspiration both on the field and within his community, bridging his achievements with his childhood memories in Hershey.
