Mac Jones has made a name for himself on the field by delivering precise throws even under pressure from hefty defensive players. Yet, outside the field, the San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback finds both seafood and coffee challenging.
In an episode of “The Kittle Things,” hosted by Claire Kittle, wife of George Kittle, Jones, who is currently 28 and single, shared insights into his dating preferences. Claire humorously pointed out that Jones doesn’t eat seafood and avoids coffee, arguing these are significant dating red flags.
“You don’t eat seafood! Oh, and you don’t drink coffee. That one might be worse,” Claire mentioned.
Agreeing with Claire, Jones acknowledged these as his key dating pitfalls during the show. He jokingly added that he might need to stick with the kids’ menu when dining at seafood places. Sharing further insight into his dating experience, Jones warned potential partners about their restaurant choices.
“Don’t go to a seafood spot with me,” Jones advised.
While his food and drink preferences might seem limiting, the Kittles highlighted Jones’ commendable attributes. Claire appreciated his personality, noting its wide appeal.
“I would obviously say his personality. Everyone loves that,” Claire stated.
George Kittle added to this sentiment by emphasizing Jones’ unwavering positivity.
“His positivity would be my biggest green flag. Even when you’re hurting, you still got a smile on your face and a love of life,” George remarked.
Claire further praised Jones for his upbeat demeanor, which remains steady despite the team’s occasional struggles, injuries, or losses during the season.
The 49ers have faced and managed through their share of injuries, maintaining a successful record of 6-1, leading the NFC West. With first-choice quarterback Brock Purdy fit, Jones has seen limited field action, playing just once in a secured victory.
Currently, the 49ers are on a bye week, allowing the team some respite before the season continues.
