Piers Morgan Confronts Cornell Student Over Antisemitic Remarks

Piers Morgan engaged in a tense conversation with Cornell University student Austin Franco on Tuesday. The issue arose after Franco rejected an internship offer and expressed antisemitic views.

Last month, Franco declined an interview with New York City startup VryfID, run by co-founders Gabe and Aiden Einhorn. His rejection stated: Not interested in working for a Jew. Thanks, drawing significant criticism.

During an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Franco stood by his statement. Despite facing backlash, he refused to apologize or retract his comment, surprising Morgan.

Franco argued that his views were based on negative experiences with the Jewish community at Cornell and his previous school, Virginia Tech. He claimed he was not antisemitic, noting his past relationships with Jewish individuals.

Morgan dismissed Franco’s reasoning, questioning his education and influences. Morgan expressed concern over Franco’s lack of remorse or understanding of the implications of his words.

Morgan concluded by condemning Franco’s stance, describing him as arrogant. He suggested that Franco’s attitude made him unemployable.

Following the incident, Cornell University condemned Franco’s comments but did not disclose specific disciplinary measures, citing privacy laws.

Franco acknowledged the challenges ahead, indicating that he chose a path different from his parents. He remained unapologetic, stating he believes in himself.
