London: Prince Harry and Meghan are set to return to the United Kingdom this Wednesday. According to CBS News’ partner network BBC News, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to fly privately from California with their two children. A spokesperson for the couple declined to comment on the travel details.

The couple’s return to Britain after six years in California had been reported last week. They will continue as non-working members of the royal family, indicating no plans to resume royal duties. BBC News suggests they may reside in the Cotswolds region, located about two hours west of London.

In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced their step back from roles as senior royal members to gain financial independence. They expressed a desire to balance their geographic location for their children, fostering appreciation for royal traditions while focusing on launching a new charitable venture.

Their departure from royal duties in California in 2020 was marked by significant tension within the family. They are parents to Archie, born in 2019, and Lilibet, born in 2021, who are set to start at a new school next week.

Harry faced legal challenges in 2024, concerning the downgrade of his security detail during visits to the UK. A recent comment from UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham stressed the private nature of the couple’s security arrangements while wishing them well.

Additionally, a court ruling last Friday ordered Prince Harry and six others to pay several million dollars to the Daily Mail publisher. Their claims against the paper were deemed highly unreasonable.
