Search Underway for Missing Man in Adirondack Mountains

A 73-year-old man from Mahopac, New York, has been missing for over three weeks, prompting an extensive search operation in the Adirondack Mountains. The New York State Police reported that Craig K. Streeter hasn’t been seen since August 2 at a Stewart’s Shop in Indian Lake.

Streeter’s RV was discovered abandoned at campsite 36 on Moose River Road in the town of Inlet by New York State Forest Rangers. No signs of recent activity were observed at the site. Streeter, known for occasionally going off the grid, hasn’t been contacted in weeks, raising concerns among authorities and his family.

Following the discovery of the RV, an extensive search effort was initiated. It involves multiple law enforcement agencies, including the state police and forest rangers. They are combing the area for any sign of the missing man.

Police have stated that there are currently no indications of foul play. Streeter was last observed wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt and jeans as he departed from the store in his RV.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information on Streeter’s whereabouts. They are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who may have seen him while camping or traveling along Moose River Road or in adjacent remote camping locations.
