1 month ago 0

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce celebrated their wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday. To mark the occasion, the Empire State Building lit up in a light blue hue. The building’s website announced it was “in celebration of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden.” On social media platform X, a message stated, “Her something blue,” referencing the traditional wedding rhyme.

Outside Madison Square Garden, giant screens displayed, “JUST&T MARRIED!” T&T stands for Taylor and Travis. The New York City Police Department secured the surrounding streets with closures, barricades, and extra officers. Despite these measures, many fans gathered nearby in hopes of witnessing the event.

Chloe Stanley from the United Kingdom expressed her enthusiasm, stating that this was her chance to see something related to Swift after missing out on Eras Tour tickets. Another fan, Lindsay Perrin, traveled 12 hours from Indianapolis with her children. She described the event as their royal wedding, something they didn’t want to miss. Perrin noted, “These kids, they might not appreciate it now in the 100-degree heat, but they’ll remember being outside Madison Square Garden during Taylor’s wedding.”

Hanna Daidal flew from Europe at the last minute. She booked her tickets within a week upon learning about the wedding, making the journey to New York after planning on Friday and flying out on Sunday.

Sources informed CBS News that the wedding reception was expected to continue throughout the night and into Saturday morning.
