Details are emerging as preparations continue for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming event at Madison Square Garden. Though details remain scarce, many believe the occasion is their wedding.
The dress code is black tie, as reported by two anonymous sources familiar with the event. For men, this means a tuxedo with a black bow tie and satin-striped trousers, while women will have the option of floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, or dressy separates.
Earlier this month, Peters Clothiers in Kansas City shared a photo on Instagram of Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs coach, being fitted for a tuxedo. The caption referenced Reid, along with team members Brett Veach and Rick Burkholder, all preparing for the event. An employee confirmed the fittings, though additional details were not immediately available. In a radio interview in May, Reid mentioned he likely received an invitation.
Two events are slated for Madison Square Garden later this week. Thursday will feature an intimate gathering of around 100 people for a rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theater. On Friday, a larger event for approximately 1,000 guests will start with a cocktail hour at 4 p.m. No-phone policies will be enforced for attendees, vendors, and security.
While the couple remains mostly silent about the event, indicators of ongoing preparations were spotted outside Madison Square Garden. Trucks and forklifts were seen unloading large, wrapped cargo, with some objects appearing to be trees. A forklift driver wore a T-shirt reading “Taylor Swift CARPENTERS,” but declined to elaborate on its significance.
