1 hour ago 0

Approximately 5,000 sailors and Marines from the USS Abraham Lincoln have arrived in Pattaya, Thailand. This marks their first break following a record-length deployment, primarily supporting operations related to the Iran conflict.

Pattaya’s upbeat atmosphere welcomed the service members, offering a well-deserved respite after nine months at sea. As they swapped their military attire for casual wear, a sense of relief filled the air.

Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet greeted the U.S. service members warmly at a local hotel on Wednesday, presenting them with souvenirs to commemorate their visit. This gesture highlighted the city’s appreciation for their service.

This visit not only provides relaxation but also strengthens ties between the city of Pattaya and the visiting American forces.
