Television enthusiasts, prepare yourselves! We are excited to present our list of the 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century.
We consulted over 500 television professionals including show creators, actors, writers, and other industry experts from Hollywood and beyond. They selected the top 10 shows that have premiered since January 1, 2000. Each professional had their own criteria for ‘best’, be it favorites, most rewatched, or most artistically ambitious.
Starting on September 21, we will disclose 20 shows daily, beginning with number 100. The selections and rankings hold many surprises, even for us. Make sure you subscribe to our Watching newsletter to receive updates on each release. The countdown will end on September 25, when we’ll announce the number one show of the 21st century.
Those already subscribed to the Watching newsletter will automatically receive updates. You can check all your New York Times newsletter subscriptions here.
