Jackie, a well-loved bald eagle, has died. She gained fame through a live stream that captured her and her partner Shadow’s life. Their story captivated many as it unfolded in a nest atop a Jeffrey pine near Big Bear Lake in California. Jackie was thought to be 14 years old.
The pair of bald eagles, Jackie and Shadow, watched over their eggs in a nest, becoming a symbol of nature’s beauty and resilience. Their lives were closely followed by fans all over, thanks to the live streaming made available by Friends of Big Bear Valley and Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam, supported by the U.S. Forest Service.
