Dannon’s Coffee Yogurt Creates Buzz Amid Discontinuation

1 hour ago 0

Dannon’s coffee-flavored yogurt, a favorite for many, disappeared from shelves, leading fans to rally for its return. A Change.org petition cries out for the revival of this beloved flavor, emphasizing its unique blend of coffee and yogurt that offered a satisfying and healthy snack.

A 5.3-ounce cup of Dannon’s coffee yogurt came with about 32 milligrams of caffeine and 11 grams of added sugar, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Doron Zeif from New Jersey, who enjoyed this yogurt for 40 years, expressed his disappointment. Retiree Lisa Signorelli from New York shared her decades-long preference for DCY, describing its discontinuation as a loss.

Social media buzzed with similar sentiments. Reddit users lamented the absence of the yogurt, seeking alternatives or recipes to mimic its taste. Several fans suggested adding coffee to other yogurts as a makeshift solution.

“My grandmother shared it with me as a child, making it a cherished memory,” a user recalled.

On Facebook, Dannon Coffee Yogurt Fanatics exchanged ideas to recreate the flavor. Despite attempts, many failed to find a satisfactory alternative. Some turned to Icelandic Provisions Cold Brew Coffee Skyr, praising its taste.

Dannon’s Instagram hinted at a possible return, inviting fans to express their interest. “Dannon coffee yogurt will return in ways that align with current taste and nutritional trends,” stated Rafael Acevedo, president of Dannon’s yogurt division.

This nostalgic product continues to resonate with its dedicated followers, highlighting the emotional connection tied to food. While Dannon explores new iterations, many hold on to hope for the return of the classic version.
