President Donald Trump expressed optimism that investigators will locate Nancy Guthrie, the mother of ‘Today’ co-host Savannah Guthrie, who has been missing for nearly five months. The statement was made during an appearance at Reading Regional Airport in Pennsylvania. When asked about the ongoing investigation, Trump remarked, ‘I hope they find her. That family has gone through hell.’
The search for Nancy Guthrie, who is 84, continues as her disappearance commands national attention. Recently, a sign from Madres Buscadoras De Sonora was positioned near Guthrie’s home in Tucson, Arizona, urging public intervention. Law enforcement is actively searching for her. Savannah Guthrie has also announced a $1 million reward for information regarding her mother’s whereabouts.
During the ‘Today’ show, Savannah Guthrie made a direct plea for assistance, stating, ‘Somebody knows something. We are in agony.’ This appeal follows reports of a second ransom note claiming Nancy Guthrie had died after being taken from her home.
A federal law enforcement source informed Fox News that the note suggested Guthrie was ‘buried with nature,’ adding an unusual tone of remorse not typical in ransom demands. Authorities are yet to verify the notes’ authenticity or identify their sender.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos conveyed that investigators, including the FBI, have reviewed multiple ransom communications. While some were deemed fraudulent, others are considered possibly valid.
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her Tucson-area home in early February. Various law enforcement bodies are involved in the investigation, including the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office.
Savannah Guthrie maintains a strong resolve, determined to continue the search for her mother. ‘We love our mom,’ she shared with the public. ‘We’ll never stop looking for her, never.’
