Heidi Klum is resisting one of Hollywood’s latest beauty trends. Amid ongoing speculation about celebrities using Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs, the supermodel has expressed a firm stance against joining the trend. She attributes her change in perspective to her husband, Tom Kaulitz, after years of enduring pressure to maintain a thin physique.
Heidi Klum’s New Perspective on Body Image
Klum, now 53, recently shared with Us Weekly her disinterest in weight-loss drugs. “I’m not interested at all,” she stated. Although she acknowledges gaining weight over recent years, she believes the added weight enhances her appearance compared to the traditionally ultra-thin model standard.
“I’ve gained weight over the years. I’m no longer a size 24 jean. But I think with age, we look better when we’re not as skinny,” she elaborated.
The shift in how Klum views her body was influenced by her husband, Kaulitz. He urged her to “eat more” and reinforced that she would look healthier with more weight.
A Supportive Partner
Klum recalls her husband’s words: “You should eat more; you would look better if you had more meat on your bones.” This was a novel idea for Klum, who had consistently faced pressure to stay lean within the modeling industry. Looking back at past photos, Klum found herself agreeing with Kaulitz.
The couple first married in secret in February 2019 and later celebrated aboard the super yacht Christina O. off Capri, Italy.
Respect for Personal Choices
While Klum is uninterested in Ozempic, she refrains from critiquing those who opt to use it. “People should do what they want,” she remarked. She recognizes that for some, who have long struggled with weight issues, these medications might offer a helpful solution.
“That has never been part of my life, so it’s hard for me to judge. If you look in the mirror and you’re not happy with something and you want to fix it, fix it.”
Additionally, she commented on cosmetic procedures like Botox and facelifts, emphasizing that inner confidence is ultimately more noticeable than external perfection.
Confidence Over Cosmetic Perfection
Klum asserted, “What makes a person sexy is knowing their self-worth and knowing who they are.” She stressed the importance of feeling comfortable in one’s own skin over obsessing about bodily imperfections.
