Larry Birkhead recently celebrated his daughter Dannielynn’s 20th birthday with a heartwarming photo collage. On September 7, he shared the video on Instagram. His post included the caption, “Happy 20th Birthday Dannielynn!❤️ Love, Dad ❤️,” accompanied by the song “Happy Birthday” by Lenny Kravitz.
The video featured a mix of rare photos from Dannielynn’s childhood and present day. One image showed her sitting on steps in a stylish black outfit with sunglasses. Another captured her as a child, wearing a playful one-piece bathing suit. The final photo was of Dannielynn in a pink tutu, smiling and hugging her father.
“How in the world is she 20 already we can’t be getting old we are still young,” commented an Instagram user.
Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith initially met at the Kentucky Derby in 2004, welcoming Dannielynn in 2006. Following Smith’s passing in 2007, Birkhead became her primary caregiver, choosing to raise her largely out of public view.
Larry and Dannielynn maintain a tradition of attending the Kentucky Derby together, an event with sentimental significance as it was where her parents met. Birkhead embraces this annual occasion to share stories with his daughter, creating cherished memories of their own.
The Kentucky Derby has been a place where people expect to see them, as it remains one of Dannielynn’s few public appearances. Larry refers to the event as a “growth chart” for his daughter, marking her development over the years.
