Leon Slater Shines at TNA’s Lockdown Event

5 hours ago 0

Leon Slater had a memorable evening at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s (TNA) Lockdown pay-per-view. His night began with an intense match against Cedric Alexander for the TNA X Division Championship. Slater risked everything by agreeing to forfeit his name in TNA’s history books if he were to lose the match.

The match, part of Lockdown’s main card, took place inside a steel cage, offering Slater an advantage. He showcased his agility by climbing to the middle of the cage and executing a flying elbow drop. Alexander struggled to restrain him, but Slater’s skill was overwhelming.

Slater turned the contest in his favor by using Alexander’s finishing move, the Lumbar Check, three times. He then delivered a 450 swanton from the top rope, securing a win over Alexander and reclaiming the X Division Championship. Overcome with emotion, Slater shed tears of joy upon his victory.

Later that night, Slater announced his plans for his newly won title. After Nic and Ryan Nemeth defeated The Hardys to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship, Slater entered the ring. He informed Nic Nemeth of his decision to cash in his Option C opportunity for a shot at the TNA World Championship, effectively relinquishing his X Division title.

Option C allowed Slater to trade his X Division Championship for a chance at the world title. This set the stage for an anticipated match between Nemeth and Slater at TNA’s Bound For Glory event on October 11, in Tampa, Florida.
