A political controversy has emerged in the Ohio Senate race involving socialist candidate Greg Levy. A super PAC, which remains unidentified, has caused confusion by distributing mailers that support Levy without his campaign’s authorization.
The mailers urge Ohio residents to “Join the Revolution” and highlight policies such as advocating for Palestinian freedom and supporting a $30 minimum wage. However, Levy’s campaign clarified through social media that they are not linked to these mailers. They described the effort as misleading to voters.
The campaign expressed concern over being impersonated and is contemplating legal measures against those responsible. Levy’s team equated this deceptive tactic to “digital blackface.” Notably, Levy is Black, which adds a sensitive layer to the issue.
