51 minutes ago 0

Riot Fest announced a delay in the start of Day 3 on Sunday because of weather conditions, with the opening now expected at 2 p.m. due to overnight rains. The festival mentioned on social media, “Due to the overnight rains and to remediate the moistness of the park grounds, we are anticipating gates opening at 2 PM.” The day’s schedule remains unchanged at this time.

On Saturday, the festival closed earlier than planned. Originally announced in the mid-afternoon, this change affected several performances, with Tool starting their headlining set at 6 p.m. before a 7 p.m. closure. The National Weather Service predicts rain to potentially persist in Chicago until at least 2 p.m., with continuing chances until 7 p.m.

Riot Fest experienced a calm Day 1, highlighted by a performance from punk icon Iggy Pop. However, adverse weather led to an early closure on Saturday.
