President Trump’s Health and Medical Visits

4 weeks ago 0

President Donald Trump will visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday for a medical and dental check-up. A White House official confirmed this information. This marks his third in-person doctor’s appointment in a little over a year. Last year, he visited Walter Reed twice, in April and October 2025.

Trump also had dental visits in West Palm Beach twice this year – first in January, then earlier this month for a follow-up. As he approaches his 80th birthday, he is the oldest individual to become president. Trump consistently claims to be in excellent health, despite circulating health rumors. He emphasized his vitality during his re-election campaign, frequently referring to his opponent as ‘Sleepy Joe Biden.’

Concerns about Trump’s health have arisen due to observed drowsiness and a bruised hand. The White House attributed these to shaking hands and using aspirin as a blood thinner. Last year, doctors found Trump had chronic venous insufficiency after examining mild leg swelling.

Trump discussed his health in a January Wall Street Journal interview, saying, “aspirin is good for thinning out” his blood, as he prefers “thick blood pouring through [his] heart.” The White House initially described his October 2025 visit as a routine follow-up, but Trump later explained he had an MRI. It was later clarified as a CT scan of his heart and abdomen.

Dr. Sean Barbabella, the president’s physician, provided a statement to NBC News about the October visit. “President Trump agreed to meet with staff and soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Hospital. To optimize his time there, we recommended another routine physical to ensure his optimal health,” Barbabella stated.

“As part of that examination, we asked the President to undergo advanced imaging to rule out cardiovascular issues. The President agreed, and our consultants performed a CT Scan. As noted in our report, the results were normal with no abnormalities.”

After Trump’s April 2025 visit to Walter Reed, Barbabella confirmed the president “remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function. Trump’s schedule includes numerous meetings, public appearances, press availabilities, and frequent participation in golf events.”
