He also acknowledged the emotional toll on the players, describing their experience as ‘gut-wrenching.’ In his podcast remarks, Meyer questioned how a coach should comfort players after such a loss but stressed the need to move forward.
Meyer also praised Western Michigan’s performance, stating that they were the stronger team in Ann Arbor, particularly in the second half.
