Dolly Parton’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was recently vandalized with scratches, soon after the iconic country singer passed away. A fan spotted the damage and shared images online, highlighting the situation. Ana Martinez, who produces the Hollywood Walk of Fame, confirmed the incident in a statement. She mentioned that a fan visited the star and reported the vandalism through social media.

A fan went to the star yesterday and reported on social that the star was vandalized with many scratches. From the photo she posted, it does appear the star was vandalized with scratches.

Prior to the vandalism report, flowers placed at Parton’s star were removed for scheduled maintenance. Martinez stated that the crew had begun repairs, with the Hollywood Historic Trust handling the restoration. The repairs are expected to be complete soon, allowing fans to pay their respects once again.

Parton’s passing at age 80, following a battle with cancer, occurred on August 25 in Nashville. She was surrounded by loved ones at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. Her niece, Lainey Mae Parton, paid tribute on social media, remembering her grandmother’s unconditional love and support.
