Congressional Support for Investigation into Neville Roy Singham’s Alleged Financial Crimes

Fox News reports that senior members of Congress back a federal grand jury investigation into alleged financial misconduct by Neville Roy Singham, particularly concerning his funding of socialist, communist, and Marxist groups. Singham has reportedly channeled $278 million into various nonprofits since 2017. Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche has authorized a grand jury in Manhattan to issue subpoenas, focusing on Singham’s financial connections. This investigation was initiated by U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton for the Southern District of New York.

Singham has not responded to numerous inquiries from Fox News Digital over recent months.

“Neville Singham is a traitor to our country. He has ties to the CCP,” stated Sen. Jim Banks, R-Indiana. “Although an American citizen, his loyalties lie with the Chinese Communist Party.”

Banks highlighted the complexities of Singham’s fortune and his financial activities, noting the funding sent to left-wing groups, including those supporting violence.

Last April, Banks requested former Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate CodePink, a nonprofit linked to Singham and co-founded by his wife Jodie Evans. CodePink has not addressed repeated requests for comment.

Recently, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent visited New York City for a discussion with Goldman Sachs Chairman David Solomon. Sources indicate Bessent warned Solomon regarding potential scrutiny for involvement in Singham’s financial dealings, urging cooperation with investigators. A Goldman Sachs spokesperson confirmed all funds from Singham’s donor-advised fund were directed to legal nonprofits, approved by the IRS.

Banks, serving on the Senate Banking Committee, stated Goldman’s cooperation is appreciated. He emphasized the need for Wall Street to exercise caution in dealings with individuals connected to adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party.

In further developments, Banks raised concerns about CodePink’s possible violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which demands registration by entities acting for foreign principals. Lawmakers, including Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, have commented on the DOJ’s grand jury investigation of Singham’s finances.

Fallon, vying for House Oversight Committee chairman, highlighted the threat posed by far-left NGOs funded by Singham, spreading CCP propaganda. He announced efforts to dismantle the influence of communist NGOs.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo., commented online regarding the grand jury investigation’s importance. Smith and critics claim Singham exploited the tax-exempt status of nonprofits to instigate chaos nationwide.

A Fox News Digital investigation revealed a video of Singham advocating a “new world order” endorsed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Singham has financially supported nonprofits organizing demonstrations across the U.S., including anti-ICE and anti-Israel protests. Contributions through Goldman Sachs include an estimated $22.44 million to People’s Forum Inc., and at least $223 million to a global network of organizations.
